Report: US, Britain, using Israeli intel to determine cause of Egyptian crash

At least some of the intercepts being used in the ongoing investigation into what caused a Russian jetliner's crash in Egypt's Sinai comes from Israeli intelligence sources, CNN reported Sunday.

According to a US official briefed on intelligence matters pertaining to the situation, Israeli intelligence sources intercepted communications between ISIS affiliates in Sinai, who have since claimed responsibility for the downing of the plane.

The last time Burma held a nationwide election, Aung San Suu Kyi languished under house arrest while her party's landslide win was simply ignored by the country's brutal military rulers.

Twenty-five years later, the democracy champion cast her ballot Sunday morning at a Yangon polling station – the culmination of an exhausting few weeks of campaigning that has drawn large, jubilant crowds hoping this will be Burma's fairest vote in decades.

Early figures from individual polling stations, mainly in metropolitan areas, suggest the National League for Democracy is in a solid position. ISIS affiliate in Egypt says downed Russian plane in Sinai; Moscow denies claim

CAIRO - A terrorist group affiliated to Islamic State in Egypt claimed responsibility for the downing of a Russian passenger plane that crashed in Egypt's Sinai peninsula on Saturday, the group said in a statement circulated by supporters on Twitter.
